Arts for Healing
My Arts For Healing programs are designed for self reflection, skill building, and relaxation, all of which foster healing and enhance quality of life.
Using a person-centered approach, I nurture creativity while meeting the unique needs of the individual. The art-making process, product, and content, mirror the participants inner world and provide a better understanding of oneself.
Once safety is established between the participant and myself, emotional expression is prompted by a question, meditation, or poem. In a choice-based open studio environment, participants use professional artist supplies and repurposed materials to bring their ideas to fruition. Assistance with a variety of techniques including painting, printmaking, collage, and ceramics is available.
